So everyone talks about hitting the transfer portal for receivers and lineman, but what about trying to find an experienced linebacker to add some depth for next year?
I really did not like what I saw when Bolton went out yesterday and it scared me for the future of that position. Honestly, I don’t think Devin Nicholson has been very good this year either. Runs himself out of plays too much and has poor eye discipline. He has had some flashes here and there, but I think Nick Bolton really cleans up a lot of his mistakes.
I know we have the freshman coming in, but doubt they will be SEC linebacker ready from day 1. Maybe Pettway or Bailey or Wikins (what happened to him) can step up and get better, I’m just not too confident. Kind of rambling, just a thought I had during the game yesterday.
