Alright, Mizzou amigos. I have a horrible case of Friday brain and really don't feel like doing much work today, so with the recent speculation of what we all think may need to happen this offseason, I felt like throwing some names out there as QBs who, first, may even enter the TP, and secondly, may actually consider Mizzou. The variables are quite simple for targets I'm considering -- either they're regional fits who may be looking to move up, currently on SEC rosters, buried on the depth chart, or were previously recruited by Mizzou and chose to go elsewhere. It also appears that Drink may prefer QBs that have some wiggle to them, as well, so I'm going to focus on more of the dual-threat kind of QBs vs your traditional pro-style QBs. I'm also going to go a little off the wall here and focus mostly on transfer QBs who have more than 1 year left of eligibility.

Keep in mind, this is PURE CONJECTURE, based on even more conjecture.

A few names have already been thrown around, and I'll try and include who I remember.

Anywho, let's get started (in no particular order):

Luke Doty - JR - Recruited by Drinkwitz at App State. Chose USCe. Other offers were Auburn, Baylor, Ole Miss, Florida State, Miss St., NCST, TCU, VT and WF.

Hudson Card - SO - This is a name that's been thrown around. With Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning in the fold, it's likely Card, who has played very well for Texas, will hit the Portal. He'll have suitors from schools across the country, had offers from 5 SEC West schools, including Alabama, and also lists offers from tOSU, Baylor, TCU, OkST, PSU and Utah, among others.

Chubba Purdy - SO - Purdy, the younger brother of former ISU QB, Brock Purdy, has already bounced from FSU to Nebraska. A new staff means Purdy may be looking around again.

John Rhys Plumlee - SR - Plumlee signed with Ole Miss before transferring to UCF, where he's the Knights' starter. Perhaps he'd take a grad transfer year at a big boy school who offered him out of HS?

Jalen Milroe - FR - The ultimate pipe dream. If Bryce Young decides to come back for his SR year, does Milroe have the patience to wait another year? Alabama has two 5.9 4* recruits committed for this year's class and another year of Young may push Milroe out sooner than Saban and Co. would like. If Young goes, Milroe is the Tide's starting QB for 2023, in all likelihood.

Preston Stone - FR - This one is interesting to me. Stone is currently with SMU (Casey Woods), was recruited by Garrett Riley, and also recruited by Mizzou. With Mordecai (another possibility for Mizzou) possibly leaving for the NFL after this year, Stone may stay with SMU. But if Drinkwitz hires away Stone's OC, there has to be a very real possibility that Woods and Drinkwitz push for Stone, not Mordecai, to follow.

Kaidon Salter - FR - Former Tennessee commit who's now with Hugh Freeze and Liberty. Established starter, but Freeze may find himself with a bigger, better job after the success he's had at Liberty this year.

Eli Stowers - FR - aTm QB who's stuck behind SO QB Haynes and JR QB Johnson for a Jimbo Fisher squad that's circling the drain. Recruited by Mizzou out of HS.

Okay, now let's get into a few guys who would be 1-year bandaids:

Kyle Vantrease - SR

Austin Reed - SR

Clayton Tune - SR

Holton Ahlers - SR - Recruited by NCST while Drink was the OC/QBC on staff.

Chase Brice - SR - Former 4* who committed to Clemson out of HS and currently starts for App St.

So, like I said, total conjecture based on conjecture. This is worse than throwing a bunch of sh*t into the fan and waiting to see what splatters and sticks on the wall. But for conversation sake, Stone, Doty, Card, Tune, Ahlers and Brice, to me, seem like they could actually be realistic options this coming Transfer Portal season.

Any names I missed that should be on here?
