Triple option questions

I'm admittedly an arm chair QB and don't know much - but it seems to me the triple option is a good way to level the playing field with inferior talent. Outside the QB - of which you need a smart disciplined QB who ran the triple option in HS etc.

Any of you coaches out there... is that a fair statement?
