If I understood the new tax changes we will NO LONGER be able to deduct ANY of the required minimum donation amounts for buying football and/or basketball tickets. How do you all see this?
Also, in the past, I made a slightly larger than needed donation for the TSF minimum and then made a separate donation to get a company match at 100%.
Now I'm thinking that I'd want to make the ABSOLUTE minimum "donation" to get my tickets and put the rest in the "matching" donation.
At this point in my life we're going to lose the ability to itemize because our house is almost paid off and the new standard deduction going to 24K.
I'll continue to donate as much as I can to get the biggest match from my company for the ADs benefit but I'm curious as to how others will address this.
