We talk a lot about how the Kenpom numbers don’t really like Mizzou and such. I did a little research on a stat that I don’t see talked about much, amount of time winning the game. I only did this for conference games.
Mizzou has led for a total of 200 minutes and 48 seconds out of a possible 320 minutes in their 8 SEC games equaling out to 62.75% of the time they are leading.
By Game:
Tennessee 0:00 0% (we all know)
Arkansas 38:13 (95.5%)
Mississippi State 17:24 (43.5%)
Texas A&M 23:42 (59.25%)
South Carolina 39:07 (97.8%)
Tennessee 39:37 (99.04%)
Auburn 5:51 (14.63%)
Kentucky 36:54 (92.3%)
That is a lot of dominance. I hope to compare their numbers to the other four teams (ALA, LSU, FLA and UT) that are up there in the standings with Mizzou.
To go even further into the stats, in Mizzou’s five conference wins they have led for 88.69% of the time in those games.
