Last spring we all got caught up in a wave of enthusiasm. Wow a proven coach, the number one recruit coming home and a number 3 recruiting class. Tickets requests were outstripping the supply. We were back. And it certainly looked like after the exhibition game against the Jayhawks. Then Reality hit MPJ surgery the transfer of two guards and now Phillips impending dismissal. But folks we have been overly optimistic. Coach Martin is a coach not a miracle worker. We have always lacked a legit point guard the last 4 years and our makeshift lineup features a freshman center who is a raw talent a power forward who should be in high school and two shoooting guards who are attempting to play the point. Our 3 while is a great 3 point shooter has been defended and carries the strain of being offensive option number one. The bench is full of limited players who would star at a lower level.
Get real Mizzou this is not a quick fix teams outside of the big elite win with seniors or experienced players not a makeshift lineup. The solution root like hell for the Tigers but realize your enthusiasm does not justify your optimism!,
