I've thought about the things that transpired in last nights game and tried to come up with a way to defend my boy and I can't. The dumb ass play call on 3rd and 2, shouldn't have never happened. You gotta pull rank and kill that call. Also, the dumb ass play call to have your DBs lined up at the goal line giving the receivers a free release was stupid. You go to a cover 3 and protect the boundaries. Odom flat out let his players down last night. His lack of experience reared it's ugly head last night.
Also, I referee football and that's refereeing 101 to officiate your zone. The back judge key was the middle of the field and his eyes follow the play area zone. Well the problem with that play was the side judge didn't make the initial OPI call so he can't make the DPI call. Well the back judge was following his keys and only saw the DPI. The referee who threw the flag did see pass interference, but the side judge should have waived it off because of the play of the initial contact by the receiver.
