I'm so tired of this idiotic, overused penalty.
There are cases -- like Shane Ray's shot on Bama's QB last year -- where I support the call. But, for anyone watching this game, what the hell is a DB supposed to do? You're taught to separate the receiver from the ball, and when the receiver is diving in the end zone, how else are you going to hit them?
Evans was clearly trying to turn his helmet and lead with his shoulder. Intent didn't appear to be malicious.
