Just finished up watching the shortened version of last Saturday's game vs. Arkansas St. This was my first time watching the game as I was in Hermann, MO with no wifi & bad cell reception. I am going to include all the offensive vines I made in this thread & defensive vines on a separate thread. Like some of you, I am a glass half full type of person so these vines will be looking at the positive things that happened.
Like Gabe mentioned in his game recap, this was the most Maty game ever. He'd throw a perfect pass one play then under throw a guy by 5 yards the next play. There were a ton of dropped balls, but I'm not putting the entire blame on the WRs. A lot of the dropped balls were catchable but the WR had to twist backwards at awkward angles because it was under thrown or off target. The combination of dropped balls & bad throws was frustrating to watch.
The QB draw was a life saver for the Tigers offense last Saturday. As you'll see below Desean Blair has some nice acceleration. He kind of looks like L'Damian Washington when he runs. I really would like to see Mizzou try to get him the ball in space. Below you'll also see a fake jet sweep to Wingo & big run by Witter. IMO, with the offensive line not being able to blow people off the ball, they need to run more misdirection to create space for the running game without Hansbrough.
