Was there actually a plan in place when Sterk fired Odom? It sure appears that Sterk pulled the trigger on Odom before giving a thought to who would replace him. I’m trying to think of ways we could arrive here:
1. Sanctions are scaring everyone worthwhile away.
2. We are lowballing everyone.
3. Sterk comes off as way too hands on (Alden w/ basketball).
4. The job is just assumed to be a dead end outside the Mizzou bubble.
5. Sterk is just clueless
I’m trying to get to this ridiculous list. So Harsin likes Boise or being out West. Kiffin is FSU or bust for this year. I’d be very interested to know why Campbell and Mike Norvell were just not interested in Mizzou. That still leaves McElwain and Healy as viable options.
