Since the coaching candidates are all coaching different/unique situations, and have in the past as well, it can be difficult to compare the job say, Bryan Harsin has done at BSU versus what Will Healy has done at Austin Peay/Charlotte. So the question I ask myself, is how do I legitimately think Barry Odom would have done in each coach's shoes, so to speak? If I don't see how that coach did any better in his past coaching than Odom would have, why in the world would anyone think that the coach would do better at Mizzou than Odom did?

This method of comparison is why Willie Fritz, for example, would be a travesty. I honestly think if you put Barry Odom at Tulane instead of Fritz, they probably have a better record over the same timeframe than they did under Fritz. Same with Will Healy. Sure he won some games at some tough places, but I'd be willing to bet Barry Odom could at least match what he did there.
