The Texas Bowl confirmed that we were a very average team at best. We weren’t truly as dominant as we looked in the second half of the season and not as bad as we looked at the beginning. We got too high and too down on them. At least they had some entertaining moments.
I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next year. Big questions to be answered:
- Will we be more consistent on O? Our current O dominates lesser competition but gets clobbered by decent defenses. Of course some variance is expected but we really need to be at least average against decent D’s.
- I feel like our Defense is improved compared to last year. Will we take another step forward?
- The incoming class will be Odom’s 3rd and the roster will be pretty much his players. Will we get to 8+ wins next year? With Beckner and probably Lock we should get there.
- Next year will be pivotal. Will he step up and be the man or will he be ‘Barrington’?
