How does everyone think the following talking points from Barry Odom would go over this off season.
1. Staff and players are excited about the progress but want more. We left a few games on the table and had things gone our way we would be a top 10 team.
2. The South End Zone project will help with off season training, recruiting and football operations but our conference is always improving facilities. I have some ideas but I would love to hear from fans and TSF donors as to what they are willing to support next.
3. The SEC is tough but we have some advantages over other schools - 1. 5th largest population state in SEC behind Florida, Georgia, Texas and Teneessee.
4. We are the only school that has a population that large that is lucky enough not to share the state with another P5 program(s).
5. We have to get 30% - 35% better in terms of every aspect of our program to compete year in and year out for division, conference and national championships. That goes for all aspects of our program including wins, recruiting, player development TSF donations, attendance and growing the fan base. I know what it takes to improve the first 3 but if we are going to improve donations, attendance and growing our fanbase it is going to take every Mizzou supporter that we can find to help out. I am all ears so lets be creative and please let our athletic department know what your thoughts are.
How do we make this the pride of Missouri? I graduated in 1995 and I know that Pinkel tried to make his case but it was not a continual focus. As hard core supporters of the program would you be motivated by these talking points?
Do you think continually making this case to the entire state would matter?
Our marketing is improving would everyone like the idea of marketing the "we are in this together" to students, alumni, donors and fans help or motivate the casual fan to participate more?
