Gabe or others, what exactly does it mean that MU doesn't have the personnel to run this new defense. Are we talking about physical ability - too slow, not athletic enough - or candidly, are we just talking about a few guys who aren't buying in or are not mentally capable of picking up the pre-snap calls required in this defense. It looks to me like this defense has althletic players on the D-line and secondary while maybe lacking some speed at linebacker. However, I'm trying to understand exactly what it is these guys don't have. It sounds like an excuse, and I'm not not sure it's very valid. If it is true that MU doesn't have the personal to play this defense then it violates one of the oldest coaching axioms in sports. Build your offense or defense around the talent of your players - not the other way around.
