Aside from family, health, etc, the one thing that I am thankful for as it relates to PM is Missouri Athletics as a whole.
As stated before I have season tix to football, Softball, and Baseball, and we attend a volleyball game or two, wrestling match or two, a couple of basketball games ( M&W) and the Tom Botts Invitational Track Meet.
The teams are typically competitive and the games are fun to attend.
Senior Day is my favorite game of the year every year.
Think about this for a second, Friday Mizzou will recognize Terez Hall, Walter Palmore, and Terry Beckner, Junior. One is in grad school working on an MBA, one went the JuCo route out of high school, and the other is from East St. Louis. All three seem to be good dudes off the field as well.
I have met TBJ once at a TSF breakfast but not the other two guys.
As a Mizzou fan and alum, how can you not root for Terez Hall?
Think back to your college days,
Could you play at an SEC level in football and take MBA classes? If you could, would you?
The answer for me is “Hell no” to both.
Palmore had the gumption to succeed as a Junior College player. Think about the level of persistence that requires.
TBJ by all accounts is a Leader on this team. He is from East St Louis and has overcome more than one injury.
Guys like Hall, Palmore, and Beckner are easy to root for. At least for me anyway.
Another example of why I appreciate Mizzou Athletics is Lauren
Aldridge. She is a starter on the WBB team and is in Law School.
Think about that for a second.
Jaydin Eirman is a very successful member of the Wrestling Team. I knew his grandpa.
There are many others, but the ones mentioned above exemplify why I am a fan, why I am a proud Mizzou fan, and why I am thankful for Missouri Athletics.
