A QB. I hope it is Lock, but it appears he is Superman against inferior opponents and SEC defenses are his kryptonite. I was hoping that the game would have slowed down for him in his second full year in the system, but after his performance against USCe it looks like it hasn't. QB play was always going to determine what kind of season we had, if he doesn't come around it is going to look a whole lot like last year. Also, I know the drops are huge, but it wouldn't kill Lock to throw a more catchable ball. He puts a lot of stank on some of his throws and it makes it harder to catch the ball (I know, they are college receivers and should be able to hang onto the ball).
Anyway, I had some high expectations heading into this season, but they all hinged on Lock progressing as a junior. I am starting to think he is not the QB we all thought he would be. Up until the 13:08 mark in the second quarter, we were dominating USCe. After the 3 plays where USCe took the lead we went into an offensive shell and scored 3 points the rest of the game. I know it is not all on Lock, some of it is play calling, but damn it, the dude needs to make plays to get our mojo back and he hasn't.
