I am sure people of the OT think I'm tinfoil and have read my predictions (because I have a huge ego), so I think things will get really bad in the US, crime, etc. in the next few years.
Anyways, I have watched Australia basically suspend their constitution over the past year in order to accomplish the COVID Zero strategy. Whether you agree with it or not is besides the point.
I was listening to a podcast about Nazi expansion and there were old interviews from some Jewish from Hungary. They asked, why didn't you flee. The respondent said, it didn't happen over night, it wasn't A - G in one move, it was small moves you would put up with and then you would judge that single move on whether it is worth fleeing or not. He said when they required you to wear the yellow star, we started to figure out we were screwed. He said, you need to draw a line and say, if this gets crossed, I'm out, leave, move, etc. We saw many draw that line in NYC last year and then move.
Im just curious, what would be your line if you made one. It could be something like if there was a murder in my neighborhood or I got mugged, then I'm moving. Or it could be a government step, etc.
I think on Government, my decision would be made up if they decided to make guns illegal. I was trying to think, what would be something where I was like, this is too far. I don't know many others. Im not a big fan of Central Bank Digital Coin, but not sure what I could do, nor would I move. The gun one just seemed logical to me.
The podcast discussed the fall of the berlin wall and how civilians started standing in front of the wall and wouldn't move and then the crowd got bigger and bigger until the guards knew they couldn't do anything. The gun thing made me think of that.
Im not a huge 2nd amendment guy other than I have 2 guns in my house, a pistol and a pump action 12 gage. The sound of the pump should scare off any intruder if it comes to that. But that seemed like an easy place to draw a line.
