There has been a lot of consternation regarding Missouri's recent miss on Kadin Shedrick. Enough so that several have proclaimed that Mo Diarra was foolishly "ran off". Even further, some have claimed that the portal is nothing but slim pickings and that the staff will have difficulty finding a player that can replace or match his production.
You may have known Mo Diarra as a 6,10 Parisian and the 2022 national JUCO player of the year contender, but for this analysis he will only be but a hurdle that all other portal bigs must surmount.
In 2023 Mo had a 20% minutes share, an Offensive Points Over Replacement Adjusted Per Game (PRPG) of 0.5, and a Defensive Points Over Replacement Adjust Per Game (DPRPG) of 1.4.
The following is a list of players with an equivalent or greater statistical profile, all over the height of 6,7:
This was not intended to disparage Mo, I think he can be a good player one day. The sky is falling shit is just funny and super premature.
