UPDATE: Didn’t have much control of time or where we ate and we were too far from the city for driving in ti be reasonable. Had brisket at Pecan Lodge on Monday before heading to the airport to come home. It was fantastic. Thanks for the suggestion!
On Sunday night, had supper at Zanata in Rockwall. Very good pizza more Italian style than American. Also had the best coconut cream pie I’ve ever had.
Went to Sideways in Rockwall for BBQ on Saturday. The reviews were mixed, but several said best brisket I’ve ever had”, so why not? It was not the best I’ve ever had. It wasn’t bad enough that I felt cheated, and I know that a lot of great Cue joints have bad days or can’t afford not to serve warmed up meat from yesterday. I’d try it again if I frequented Rockwall, but I’m not recommending it at this time.
Also had an In & Out burger for lunch on Sunday. Wish we had one in COMO!
