after he is rightfully shit-canned after the season? Back to being a DC at a non P5 school? Does that suit him best? Or what about a HC position at a 1AA school to continue getting the HC experience he so desperately needs?
If I were him, I would go with option number two. I know it wouldn't pay as well as being a DC even at a lower non P5 school but if he wants to further his career, I think this is what needs to be done.
Look, there is nothing wrong with making 300k a year for 5 years then getting a MAC level HC position lets say, for another 5 years. That would be 10 years of solid HC time, not to mention the 2 years at Mizzou. He'd only be in his early 50's, lots of tread left.
And who is to say he couldn't come back to Mizzou at that time? I'm sure, in the span of those 10 years we'll be ready to hire coach number 3 and BO could be the guy, again.
