WHO can tell me something about ECHO BLUFF STATE PARK?

I heard from a guy I know who helped build the place that's it's pretty awesome...taking the wife there for a weekend getaway for her birthday.

Will we be disappointed? Driving from the Wentzville area...what are some places me might want to stop and see on the way down?
