Gabe mentioned in an earlier thread that one thing that may limit our potential coaching pool is the way MU structures the coaches contacts. For example KA earns approximately $1.1m but his base is around $350k. The $350k is the only amount guaranteed in his contract.
If this is the same format that MU is using to attract new coaches, then forget about anyone ever choosing to come here and take over this mess. The only way to attract a good hire to take over this train wreck is to pay above market value, and provide substantial guarantees in the contract.
The question I have is who responsible for approving the contracts at MU. Is MR given any leeway, or does this fall on Middleton and the BOC. If MR is being hamstrung by the administration, I'd like to know who exactly the clueless individuals are.
