It's been obvious since very early, maybe week 2?, that this team is quite bad. We maybe had a shot at a minor bowl but when we lost that overtime game against Boston College the chances of that were very low. After the Tennessee game it should have been obvious to everyone that this was going to be a 4 or 5 win season.

And yet every single week you all freak out and act shocked that the team is bad. It's as if you either forgot, or you somehow had hope that they were going to magically become not bad.

Well... there is no magic way to get not bad. No, firing the defensive line coach was not going to do it. No, playing the freshmen or the backup quartrback is not going to do it. They're not just a little bad. They're very bad.

The thing that's going to fix this is to bring in a bunch of better players. It sounds like Drinkwitz is going to bring in 25 to 30 new players this offseason. It also sounds like the new players are going to be quite good. The recruiting class is amazingly ranked in the top 15 right now. But we only have something like 11 seniors. That means there's going to be a major roster purge. Drinkwitz is going to have to run off a bunch of players who are currently part of the team who are not seniors. Probably at least 15 of them, maybe 20 or more.

That's where the action is. The recruiting and the roster purge.

This is a lost season. A losing season. A bad team. Torturing yourselves getting pissed off every week that they continue to be what they are is insanity. They suck. They sucked last week. They sucked this week. They'll suck next week.

Hell, we won the game by two scores and you people are still freaking out. We knew they suck. This is not news.

Hopefully the talent infusion works next year and beyond.
