Why Doesn't MU Pay Coaches Big $$$

i hear people state that MU (or its boosters ) has the money to pay big money to potential big name coaches but our history paints a more correct picture that MU doesn't.

MA was barely getting $2.5(total) before he left and I can't see any big name coach coming here for no less than $3 milliion.

I'm I wrong in stating that the fans and AD staff are on seperate levels when it comes to salary understandings?
