Our men's basketball program needs the kansas game because it keeps pressure on the AD to field a good team. Why did Michigan hire Harbaugh? Why did Aurburn fire Chizik? Because the alumni can't stand the thought of losing to their rivals, and I feel like we've lost that. When you have that hatred mixed with keeping up with the joneses next door, it adds a little urgency to a program. Interested to hear other's thoughts.
