The fact that this got out is not an accident. Talks have been going on for a few days now. That I know. The rest is conjecture. I feel like Sexton and Odom were thinking they were going to get a bigger number than Sterk is offering so far. Letting this become public is their tactic to force Sterk’s hand. The problem is that only works when people are terrified that losing a coach will wreck a program. Even most of Odom’s biggest supporters don’t believe that to be true. I would still like Odom to be our coach but he and Sterk need to get in the same page so this doesn’t drag on. If it is still going on past the end of the week it is time to move on.
