Obviously Sterk has a relationship with Under Armour. He was the Under Armour AD of the year.
We have a few factors at play....
As the largest of the three, Nike sets the table a bit. Although they still want the college business they have put significant resources against the NFL and NBA license deal. Their competitors would say this had made them a little less free with the money in other areas.
Adidas is now the fastest growing sports apparel and shoe company....largely driven by all the old school adidas original products. As Nike has gone after leagues adidas is going after stars....and will continue to do so (Rogers, harden, kris Bryant, etc..)
Then we have UA. Who in addition to getting the MLB contract also signed ucla to the most lucrative deal in college sports.
This could be a new revenue stream for Sterk if played right. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.
