Touted DB set to announce
Gadsden City (Ala.) High safety Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. will make his college plans known on Friday. For the last couple weeks it looked like the Alabama legacy would end up in Tuscaloosa.
And he still could.
However things look to be picking back up with Missouri, and there are sources around Columbia that feel good about the Tigers position. Kirkpatrick took an official to Mizzou the second weekend in June and the Tigers have been pushing extremely hard since January. His best relationships are with that staff and as he nears his decision date, Missouri is picking up momentum.
One more five-star note
We've been talking about Missouri's rise with five-star receiver Ryan Wingo, and the Tigers have certainly been on the move. And while I've said I find myself close to predicting Missouri there because of the momentum they've gained, when you talk to sources around the family and around Texas, it should be reiterated the Longhorns are in great position and so is Tennessee. So while Wingo may be closing in on a decision, those are three programs that still have a great chance to land the St. Louis (Mo.) University standout.
