Bottom line: It doesn't matter if the coach is young or old, cuddly or curmudgeonly, funny or dry, ugly or dapper, southern or northern, eastern or western, white, black, green or purple.

If a guy comes in and wins, we will all embrace him.

There are only two names I see that seem to have a real chance (given their professional records) at success - Harsin and McElwain. Harsin has sustained excellence and McElwain has been-there-done-that in the SEC.

The rest feel like dice rolls. I love Healy, but it's a stretch.
