Robin Pingeton is entering her ninth season as head of the Mizzou Women's Basketball team … and her ninth year appearing at the Tiger Club of KC, as she did on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.
Last season, Mizzou completed its third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, and Coach Pingeton was named a Naismith Women’s College Coach of the Year national semifinalist and a WBCA National Coach of the Year finalist. The Tigers have won at least 22 games each of the last three years, including a 24-8 record last year and fourth place tie in the tough SEC.
The 2017-18 season included home wins over defending National Champion South Carolina and No. 11 Tennessee, a game in which a program-record 11,000+ fans watched Sophie Cunningham score 32 points in the Tiger victory.
The Tiger Club of KC meets every Tuesday at the Westport Flea Market Bar and Grill. Lunch starts at 11:30 a.m. with the program beginning at Noon. Tuesday, October 30 will mark the return of our football panel, featuring Tiger greats spanning multiple decades and coaching staffs.
