University of Missouri women's basketball will appear in the 2022 Women's National Invitational Tournament for the ninth time in program history. The Tigers will host the Drake Bulldogs (18-13) in the opening round of the tournament on Thursday, March 17 at 7 p.m. CT.

The Tigers (18-12) will make a second-consecutive WNIT appearance. Mizzou is 5-9 all-time in WNIT play while advancing to the third round in 2003 and 2015.

MIzzou's 18 wins this season matches its combined win total from 2019-20 and 2020-21. The Tigers started the year with an 8-game winning streak, the best since 2015-16 and its 11-2 nonconference record represents the program's best since 2017-18.

Aijha Blackwell and Hayley Frank both earned Second-Team All-Southeastern Conference honors. Blackwell has 340 rebounds on the season, good for third on the Mizzou all-time single-season chart. Her 13.1 rebounds per game ranks second nationally behind Aneesah Morrow from DePaul (13.8).
