Robin Pingeton set to talk with the media here in a few minutes ahead of Thursday's game against Vanderbilt.
RP: "Vandy, again, I don't care what their record is, we have to keep our emotions in check. I hope we can send our seniors out with a win."
On the NCAA Tournament: "I just hope we can host and end up in the Kansas City region. I know it's a tough job and a lot of different factors go into it. But we just have to focus on the next game."
RP praises her seniors — Jordan Frericks, Bri Porter and Kayla Michael — who will be recognized Thursday for senior night. "It's probably good for me to talk about this today because I have to get it together for Thursday."
"It's easy to talk about the current team, but I can't speak enough about the players who came before and laid the foundation for us to do what we're doing now."
More on Vanderbilt: "I think Vandy has as much offensive firepower as anyone in the league. When they hit their shots, they're good."
On her bench play: "You have to challenge them to prepare as a starter. When you're really invested in the front of the jersey, you find a way to do that. I've found so much growth in those ladies. we're seeing them get better every day."
On the SEC Tournament: "We've had the double-bye, but that hasn't worked out for us. We've had it the other way, and that didn't work out. What's important is that we go get that first win and go from there. But we don't talk a lot about the seeding. What we really want is to host those first two rounds."
