Robin Pingeton and Sophie Cunningham are meeting with the media soon to talk about the postseason and looking to what's next.

In case you missed my wrap up: https://missouri.rivals.com/news/looking-back-2017-18-women-s-hoops

I'll have notables here shortly.

RP: "We won 24 games in arguably the best conference in the country." Goes on to say all the accomplishments: "We're really proud of this season. Disappointed in the ending, not in the season."

Cunningham: "I'm really excited to develop my game. I'm anxious to get started already."
She says the last time she was 100 percent healthy was sophomore year at high school. "You're in the SEC, you're going to get bumps and bruises. I think I go harder — I fall harder. I'm a bit clumsy."

Cunningham says going off two feet and improving her mid-range game are two things she wants to develop for next year.

RP keeps mentioning they need to tweak things offensively. Says next year, they'll be a little more guard-oriented.

About the bench, RP says she doesn't know who's going to step up to the plate this offseason, but she knows they all can. "We have work to do."
Mentions Haley Troup and Grace Berg as two people coming in who she's excited about.

RP says she's planning on adding a few more to the roster before next year.

Cunningham: "We had a great season, but these last couple of games leave a salty taste in our mouth. I have so much more to offer to this program, this town, this team."

RP: "I don't think I'll be able to move on from that last game quite as quickly. But everything does happen for a reason, and that's just fuel to our fire to get better."

RP: "When Sophie came in, she wanted to bring our program to an elite level. And I think that needle has moved. Three years ago, the expectations weren't what they were now, and it shouldn't be. Now, we have to figure out how to knock down that next wall."

RP says she hasn't slept very well since that last game. "Losing fires me up."

RP says that Jordan Frericks will go to a combine at the Final Four where WNBA scouts will be. "Without a doubt, she'll have some sort of opportunity next year." Either WNBA or overseas.

RP on Amber Smith: "The sky's the limit for her." Says there might be another position change next year - "She understands her role. She'll need to be more aggressive on the court, but we'll change some things to be more guard-oriented next year."
"When you find that kid with the dog-mentality, they don't care what position they play."

RP: "Nobody has higher expectations for this program than I do, I guarantee you that. As disappointing as the ending was, we had an amazing season. Are we satisfied? No. Are we going to come back? You better believe it."

That's it from Mizzou Arena. Thanks again for following along!
