Missouri's postseason kicks off in two days when the Tigers face either Ole Miss or Florida on Thursday night in Nashville.
Robin Pingeton is talking with us before her team travels.
"I feel like we've closed the book on this portion of the season, and now we're looking forward to the conference tournament."
Says she's proud of the team's efforts this season. "I know we're not ready to be done."
On the Texas A&M loss: "Out of the gates, we matched point for point. But I didn't like the intensity of our defense." Says she had a good game plan, "we just didn't execute it."
In preparation for whoever they play on Thursday, RP says they have to be better on defense no matter who they play.
"Anybody in this league, come tournament time, anything can happen. I tell you what, those teams who aren't in the Top-25, they're still good. They play tight with the top teams. As soon as you overlook anyone, it'll come back to bite you."
"Our focus really needs to be one game at a time and to be the best team we can be." Says there's a lot of hype, but they just have to approach it the same as a regular-season game.
"Texas A&M was a hiccup, but we've been playing some pretty good basketball lately."
Gives credit to Cunningham and Frericks for their All-SEC recognition today.
Says the single-bye is worse than a double-bye, but she just wants to get that first win. "Who wouldn't want a double-bye? It just makes it so much easier. But I feel like it all works out to how it is supposed to. It's a testament to how tough this league is."
