It's just as bad as it sounds. Missouri shot 27 percent from the floor and 21 percent from three in its loss to Georgia. The Bulldog press was suffocating at best.
I'll have updates from the post-game pressers here.
Georgia head coach Joni Taylor: "I think you saw two teams tonight who didn't want to lose. We were lucky enough to come out with the win."
Apparently, Georgia calls Jordan Frericks "Freddy."
Taylor: "Cunningham missed some shots that she usually makes tonight. Our job was to stop her from catching the ball. If she can't catch it, she can't shoot it."
Robin Pingeton: "I would have thought if we had 14 turnovers, we would have put ourselves in a good position of winning. They got too many points in transition. Tough game, but I'm really proud of my team."
Frericks: "Georgia's a good defensive team and they really got into our ball-handlers and sped it up."
Smith: "They increased their defensive intensity and caused some turnovers and exploded in their transition. They got some good looks."
RP on Cunningham: "It was a physical game for her. I think she had some contested shots. I'm really glad she's on my team."
RP: "We're sitting at 24-7. It's been a great run. The chemistry and atmosphere has been outstanding. We've made a lot of history with this team tonight. Thankfully, it's not over."
RP: "I don't know if we play as physical as Georgia. We play more personnel. But you're in the SEC, and every night is going to be a battle for you."
