Would the SEC even consider taking KU given their FB program?

Just listened to the Ole Miss podcast with Gabe. During the podcast, the idea was floated that eventually the SEC would like Oklahoma and Kansas to get to 16 teams. Given the status of Kansas football can anyone really see the SEC taking them? Is Kansas basketball really worth it to the SEC if it means taking Kansas football as well?
