Man..... what a game!
Now part of the reason might be that I've never actually seen this whole game... I got roped into driving down to a wedding in Tennessee that day. So I didn't get to watch it, I only listened to it on the radio..... I watched the highlights about 50 times after the wedding, but I never actually got to watch the game. (I think I DVR'd the wrong channel, so I never had it recorded either.)
But my gosh, watching these guys..... James Franklin, Marcus Murphy, Michael Sam, EJ Gaines, Kony Ealy, Markus Golden, Shane Ray, L'Damian Washington... hell, even DGB was still on the team back then. Mauk was still a guy we still liked back then..... Just so many great guys that gave so many great memories that are all coming back to me now watching this.
Plus, we didn't fool around with those goofy grey pants!..... Hello powers that be, our colors are BLACK, GOLD, and WHITE, why the hell do we wear those anthracite jerseys, pants, and helmets so often for?!?!?!..... BLACK, GOLD, and WHITE oughta be the choices. Grey isn't in our color scheme. Just my $.02.
Anyway, just watching these guys from that magical season pull off what probably was the biggest win of the year is just making me sentimental..... What a team! What a game!! What a win!!!
