Quick recap:
1) Barry Odom's name has surfaced at Louisville according to a report and has been mentioned to me and a couple others as a possibility at Colorado
2) Jimmy Sexton is the best agent in college football
3) Through my checking today I have confidence that contract talks are going on between Odom/Sexton and Missouri.
4) Through my checking today I have confidence that Barry Odom's first choice is to be the head coach at Missouri and that Missouri wants Barry Odom to be its head coach
5) I do not expect this to be all that long a process. I'm a little surprised it all became so public today, but I think both sides want to get something done and I think both sides probably realize the benefits of getting it done in a relatively short amount of time.
6) If anything else develops, we'll certainly keep you apprised, but at this point, I see no real reason to believe that Barry Odom will be coaching anywhere but Mizzou next year and probably for a little bit more money than he's making to do so this year (which is exactly what we all expected to be the case even before today's events)
