was going to try to hold off til the morning, but now I'm being asked on Twitter and random Twitter accounts are starting to say things, so here is what I have:
*Nothing officially official, but at this point, based on everything I'm hearing, I expect Michael Porter Jr. to go pro. I do not know when an official announcement is coming. I think it's possible it won't be until after spring break (But remember, just because there isn't an official public announcement does not mean that Missouri and its staff do not know what the plan is. As I've said, they'll certainly know before we know).
I believe that this was not a slam dunk easy decision. There was more of a chance he would return than most of us believed. In the couple of days after the game, I actually started to believe it might happen. And I suppose until it's officially announced, there still is. But I'm comfortable with the 2% chance I put out there a couple weeks ago---and that's probably a little high.
*Less clear with Jontay Porter. My expectation--again, based on what I hear--is that he will put his name in the draft and go through the process. However, I do not expect him to sign with an agent and I do expect him to keep the door open to return. Whether that ultimately happens, who knows?
*As I said, none of this is official. Nothing's confirmed for certain. But there are enough rumors out there and now I'm starting to be asked about it, so I figure I owe you guys the information so that if it does come out you aren't blindsided and you've gotten the information I have at this time. If anything is confirmed or official, obviously I'll let you know, but as of now, my expectation is that Michael is going pro and Jontay is 50/50 to return.
