Just blitz more.
It seems pretty apparent to me that our best defensive players are the guys in the defensive backfield. so I'm thinking why not rely on them more? Our DLine is atrocious... None of them win one-on-one battles... And our LBs are not real good either... So instead of standing there and just getting run over... I say, let's send extra guys into the gaps and try to clog holes that way, then rely on our athletic safeties and corners to make the tackle when the back bounces outside.
Blitzing more will also help our pass rush... And again, that puts the pressure on our DBs to be able to cover opposing WRs... Right now, I'd take my chances with that instead of lining up and just getting bowled over on every play... That RB from yesterday was BC's 4th string RB. WTF?
Yesterday was not fun at all and going back to the Kentucky game, their RB fumbled on the goal line twice and we blocked a FG late... Otherwise, we'da lost that game by 3 or 4 TDs instead of just one... Our defense got its ass kicked that day... We were lucky to not get blown out... IMO, it's time to start benching ppl or start blitzing ppl... But we gotta do something... We only get to play Vanderbilt once this season.
