I ask for coach Gates email and since that isn’t available I will post on here what I wanted to say to him. I wanted to thank him his staff and student athletes for what they have done this year so far. Because back in October my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and for those who have been through something like this you know how it goes. For those who have not I hope you never do and the two words to describe it is “it sucks”
Since we are playing Tennessee today I would relate to all what we experienced the last time we played Tennessee. My wife had just went through a chemotherapy treatment and was on the couch drained and not feeling good as the game started and went on she had a few comments but at the end when DeAndre hit the winning shot she jumped up off the couch and started crying in joy of what just happened. She then sat down and immediately asked when do we play again.
My point is that this staff and team has brought us some much needed joy in a situation that doesn’t have very much of it. So again I would like to thank coach Gates his staff and especially the student athlete's. Go Tigers!
