who ya got?
Assuming I can’t change the format here is what I do
1. Bama
2. GA
3. Clemson
4. It doesn’t matter because it will be a blood bath but Notre Dame
The way I look at it is we have 2 teams we know are great on Bama and GA. We have another three teams that may be great but we don’t know because they haven’t beat any really good teams. That is Clemson, UCF and Notre Dame.
Then we have have a couple of really good teams in OU and tOSU.
Then we have about 15 good to above good teams. They are teams that have very few losses but really lack quality wins or they have quality wins but also have mind boggling losses. Not going to name them all but Michigan, Wazzu, Washington, Texas the entire SEC that is below GA and above USCe (Includes Mizzou).
I think we need to come up with a formula that determines access and drop human polls they are awful. I would prefer a 16 team playoff. In most years the 16 best team may have a chance of upsetting number 1 if they played perfect. Hell I would be fine if we just agreed to use Safari or Massey Composite. Take one week off after the Confrence Championship and then the first round is played at the home team of the higher ranked team. Then after that you play them at historical bowl locations closest to the higher ranked school. You can keep the Liberty and Belk Bowls of the world as well just have them pick teams after selection of playoff teams.
The argument has also been that the regular season is so good in college because if the format. And that is true for the best 4-5 teams in the country. Change it to this format and it is awesome for about 20-25 teams.
