Laying off hundreds of FAA employees and three thousand plus forestry service workers, the guys who fight and mitigate fires. Both these groups are ridiculously understaffed and overworked already. But one size fits all in Musk's tiny little brain. And a few days ago, they laid off folks who oversee our nuclear arsenal without even realizing they were doing it. Trying desperately to hire those guys back currently.
It's the same damned approach Musk used at Twitter. He took a vibrant, healthy company, stupidly changed its name, gutted its staff, turned it into a cesspool for disinformation and conspiracy theory bullshit that's currently losing money. And when they lost advertisers who didn't want to be associated with the crap the site was serving up or Musk himself, his first thought was to attack them legally.
EDIT: Changed "air traffic controllers" to "FAA employees" as I read a deceptive headline. So they just fired folks that maintain the radar and other systems air traffic controllers use.
