It is that time of year that coaching hot seats will be discussed soon.

First of all, Kim Anderson will be back at Mizzou next season. Period. We know Kim has had a very rough first season at MU and there are some things to be concerned about. CKA will have to work his tail off on the recruiting trail to supplement the 2 departing Seniors and a likely defection or two. An incoming boss is another obstacle he'll have to deal with for next season.

Three SEC conference coaches who stayed for the challenge this season (unlike a former SEC coach we know) and delivered this year are LMA, Andy Kennedy and Mark Fox. LMA already got a 2 year extension.

Coaches in question are:

Anthony Grant-Bama has not had that gawd awful season under him but not a really good one either. Grant does have an OK 53% SEC record and 1 division title (back when they had them) but no CT titles, an average 6th place conference finish and 0 NCAA tourney wins. The energetic and previously successful Bruce Pearl coaching at his archrival does not help Grant's cause. Outside of a miracle run to win the SEC Tourney, Grant is probably gone. However football rules in T-town, maybe no one would notice if he came back next season until February.

Rick Ray-Miss State finished 12th in the SEC and a 25% SEC winning percentage during his tenure. Tough to let a guy go after 3 seasons but MSU appears to be going nowhere. It depends how much money MSU is willing to eat and who will come to Starkville to fix the mess. If I were the MSU AD, I'd call Rick Byrd. He'd probably take the job and would not break the bank.

Kevin Stallings-He's had a solid run at Vandy and did a good job with a young team this season. However things appear to be stale in Nashville on both ends and the recent incident he had while somewhat overblown did not help. Supposedly Stallings has shopped himself out the last couple offseasons but could not find a mutual match. The fans are starting to wonder if they need some fresh blood but Vandy is not the easiest place to win consistently so if the powers in Nashville force Stallings out, they better hope an upgrade will take the job.

Outside of the SEC, changes could be made at Georgia Tech, Florida St, Penn St, Okie St, Clemson, DePaul and St. Johns for starters. Locally, SIUE already fired Lennox Forrester and other changes could happen at SEMO, Missouri St and SIUC in what was the worst college basketball season for area D1 programs I can remember.
