As we prepare to leave Dallas, I was thinking about this 12 team process next year. If you are ranked five through eight, you get to host your first round game.
That’s pretty cool. But it also means there is no bowl game if you lose. Just the play in game. This year we would have had to travel to Eugene Oregon. Now that would be an awesome trip. But it’s not a bowl game.
This also raises an additional question. Who is funding the normal bowl pool for the first round teams? The CFP collective?
