COLUMBIA, Mo. - Frightening fun and games will surround the Mizzou Halloween and Hoops event, set for Friday, Oct. 30, at Mizzou Arena. The Tigers’ annual Black & Gold Scrimmages will feature family-oriented entertainment prior to the start of the intrasquad games for both Kim Anderson and Robin Pingeton’s programs, as well as contests throughout the evening.

Doors will open for the free event at 5:30 p.m. and student-athletes from both the men’s and women’s basketball programs will be on-hand throughout the arena concourse, overseeing games, passing out candy, posing for photographs, signing autographs and more.

Pingeton’s squad will take the court at 6:30 p.m. for its intrasquad game, with Anderson’s group slated to begin play at 7:30 p.m.

In between the two scrimmages, both programs will combine for a hot shot contest, followed by a dunk contest.

The best-dressed student in attendance, as deemed by judges, will have the opportunity to drain a half-court shot for a year’s tuition at the University of Missouri.

The Mizzou Men’s Basketball team begins its season with Missouri Western in exhibition action on Friday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. at Mizzou Arena.

The Mizzou’s Women’s Basketball team begins its campaign with an exhibition contest vs. Southwest Baptist on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. at Mizzou Arena.
