Folks clamoring to purge the entire roster are clueless. Those Folks thinking Coach Gates should go get 4-5 impact transfers are clueless as well. There's no such thing as recruiting 4-5 killers to play on the same team. For one, there's not enough balls to go around, secondly there can only be so many alphas on one team.
That's why I don't understand all the pushback regarding Tonje and Grill. If Gates gets a 1A and 1B, Tonje, Bates and Grill becomes options 3-4. That's not a bad offensive lineup. Basketball is a game of roles. There is a such thing as too many ballers on the court together. It really messes up team chemistry not knowing your role. So why not just shoot for the 2 best players that fit your team and the role you want them to be. Makes no sense to go look for options 3-5 when they're already in the fold....
In options 3-5, one of those will come off the bench to help get some bench production. The formula isn't hard, it's just about getting the right pieces for the puzzle. So while y'all are screaming blow up the whole team, including the coaching staff, we're a couple pieces away from being competitive.
