-Todd Golden on Mizzou: They're better than their record indicates ... they very easily could have three conference wins right now." Said he feels fortunate to leave Mizzou Arena with a win.

-Golden said the biggest thing they did that helped them win was take care of the ball. Said their goal was to come out with 12 turnovers or less, they only had 8. Golden said he feels like all of his forwards are very good playmakers, which helped them navigate Mizzou's traps.

-Golden said Florida didn't do a good enough job of forcing Tamar Bates to his right. Said they needed to do a better job of defending him without fouling. "He didn't let us off the hook." Golden said they weren't helping off him, though - they didn't want to give up catch-and-shoot 3s from other guys.

-Gates leads off by wishing Norm Stewart a happy birthday and apologizing that they couldn't get him a win. He wishes they had extended their lead a little more during the first half because Florida keeping it close let the Gators get comfortable.

-Gates said individual performance-wise, Tamar Bates had one of the best he's seen in a long time.

-Nick Honor said he feels like they're consistently messing up on the little things. Bates said they have to do a better job of closing out defensive possessions.

-Bates said he doesn't try to force anything in the game. He said he knows where he's can score within the offense and has gotten used to playing in the SEC.

-Gates credited Florida for being able to slow Sean East down. He said he struggled after getting into foul trouble. He also saw East get down on himself after giving up a turnover. Just wasn't his night.

-Gates said he loved the energy and Jordan Butler and Aidan Shaw played with. He said he really wants to see Shaw be more consistent - he wants more of what Shaw brought in the second half.

-Honor said they haven't lost any confidence. Said losing sucks but they're not getting blown out. Said they're just going to move onto the next game and try to go 1-0.

-Bates said the development at Mizzou is second to none. Said he's thankful that he got the opportunity to have this type of role here. But he knows at this point in the season, that development has to translate to wins.
