-There's not a whole lot more to say about this game. Mizzou had a better second half, but some of that was obviously just Illinois taking its foot off the pedal. This would've been the team's second-worst shooting performance last season. The only game they shot the ball worse since Dennis Gates took over was the home loss to Alabama without Kobe Brown. That one was a blowout too.

-For the second game in a row, Sean East waited too long to get going. The result of this game doesn't change if he was as aggressive in the first half, but it at least would've been more competitive. He's got to accept that he's the No. 1 option. The team doesn't have a shot if he's reluctant to be that guy.

-Ant Robinson and Trent Pierce had decent games. Robinson was the team's leading rebounder (good for him, not good for the team). And Pierce had some nice defensive stops and finishes inside. They'll need more performances like that moving forward. Curt Lewis played well too.

-One positive: Mizzou avoided suffering the biggest loss in the series history. That really might be the only positive here.

-The Tigers need a reset. They'll play back home for the first time since November next weekend. They've got two weeks until SEC play starts back up. They've got a lot to figure out.
