FOOTBALL RECRUITING

- On Thursday, Hillgrove (Ga.) offensive lineman Benjamin Galloway committed to Georgia Tech, the three-star prospect visited and camped at Missouri in July where he picked up an offer from the Tigers. That's another OL target off the board for Missouri as we await the much-anticipated Sept. 8th decision for Rivals250 prospect Logan Reichert. We still have every expectation that Reichert will choose the Tigers.

- Sticking with OL targets, we touched base with Lipscomb Academy (Tenn.) OL target Brandon Solis earlier this week, who told us he's still hearing from Missouri, Mississippi State, TCU, Indiana, and Florida State. The three-star took summer officials to Boston College and Cincinnati, so he's got three remaining he can take in the fall. He's one to keep an eye on moving forward as his recruiting process will carry-on until December it appears.

- Missouri also extended a new 2023 offer to current Arkansas State defensive back commit Tyler Scott. Currently listed as a two-star, Scott has been committed to the Red Wolves since June 18th, however, appears to be keeping his options open as Vanderbilt and Auburn also extended an offer this week as well.

- The Tigers are also hunting for transfer options in the secondary as former Miami (Fla.) cornerback Marcus Clarke entered the portal on August 19th and confirmed with PowerMizzou.com that Missouri is one of the schools he's considering. We've also heard Kansas is in the mix and Florida State might be as well. Clarke played in every game for Miami last season. Considering the timing, he'd have to sit out the rest of this year at his next school unless he gets a waiver.

- Missouri is still looking to add an additional linebacker or two to the 2023 class to complement current pledge Brayshawn Littlejohn. One prospect they are keeping an eye on is Crisp Co. (Ga.) product Julian Fox, who carries a handful of G5 offers from the likes of App State, Liberty, Western Kentucky, Army, Troy and others. Fox had a big junior season, where he recorded 148 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and four sacks.

- On Friday night, Sean Williams will be on the road in St. Louis to watch Missouri running back commit Jamal Roberts in action as they take on SLUH and 2024, five-star WR target Ryan Wingo. St. Mary's also features K-State commit Donovan McIntosh and Chase Hendricks while SLUH also features Iowa tight end commit Zach Ortwerth and 2025 TE/DE Landon Pace (Orlando's son), who camped and picked up an offer from Missouri over the summer.

BASKETBALL RECRUITING

This morning, we posted our updated recruiting hot board for the 2023 and 2024 classes. This narrows down 68 reported offers (30 in 2023 and 38 in 2024) to a handful of prospects in each class that we believe Missouri is most serious about. Obviously, things can change over the course of time, especially in the 2024 class, but we feel good this is a pretty accurate picture of where things stand for the Tigers at this point in time.

We won't run down every player on the board as you can read the hot board linked in the previous paragraph. But here is the new information:

- Macaleab Rich is currently on his official visit to Missouri.

Rich will visit Ole Miss next weekend, Kansas State the weekend after that and Illinois-Chicago on September 16. He is set to make his decision on September 26, which is his birthday. Most believe this to be a race between Mizzou and K-State at this point in time. The Tigers would love to lock him up this weekend and have him make a decision before he takes those other trips, but he's likely to go ahead and take the visits and stick to his timetable.

- Kris Parker is a prospect with whom we've consistently said Missouri is in good standing. We still believe that. Parker picked up an offer from an Australian pro league earlier this week. He will take an official visit to Alabama on September 17 and UCF on September 24. He told us he is planning an official visit to Missouri this fall as well. He said he will know when that is going to happen "as soon as I get some dates from CY." Obviously it's worth watching to make sure he doesn't leave Tuscaloosa or Orlando committed, but again, our information is that Missouri is in very good shape on this one. We just need to see when that visit happens. The early signing period runs from November 9 to November 16, so there is some time to get that trip in. The Tigers are bringing in some 2024 guys on the weekend of October 1. Not sure if they'd want Parker in that same weekend (the week football plays Georgia) or if they'll try to get him in on his own weekend separate from the 2024 guys.

- Speaking of 2024 guys, the main new information in the hot board regards Florida prospect Marcus Allen, who is relocating to AZ Compass Prep this year. He told us he currently plans to visit Missouri September 17-19, but he is going to confirm that date with the coaching staff tomorrow. Allen is starting a visit to Miami today.

- James Brown, Dallas Thomas and Jordan McCullum are expected to visit the weekend of October 1 as of right now. T.O. Barrett plans to visit this fall, but last we knew does not have a date set.

- This is guess work on our part, but if Mizzou could add Parker, Rich and possibly one more, the 2023 class could be finished as far as high school prospects. In 2024, it would appear the five guys we listed above are priorities for the Tigers since they are getting them on campus this fall along with John Bol. Bol has an official visit to Michigan set already. Missouri would definitely like to get him on campus this fall, but as far as we know, that's not set yet. All told, that's seven top 150 players who either have visits set up or are working to set them up over two classes. Then you have two slightly lower ranked guys in Rich and Barrett, but both have multiple other high major offers so they aren't exactly projects. Exciting times for hoops fans over the next two months for sure.
